  Brian Flath - Counselor
 Dawson County Middle School

I'm very excited to begin my second year at Dawson County Middle School.  We have even bigger and better things planned this year as we start new programs and initiatives at our school.  I'm very proud to be an integral part of the DCMS community as I now reside here in Dawsonville.
I graduated from Potsdam College in New York with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Communication, and later earned a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from St. Lawrence University.  With the goal of becoming an administrator, I went back to school to earn my Educational Specialist degree in School Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
My experience ranges from teaching 2nd grade to working as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Community College.  I was an elementary school counselor for five years, and I am now going into my 12th year as a middle school counselor.
Please do not hesitate to call or email me with questions or concerns; my job is to support you and your child in any way I can.  If I don't have an immediate answer for you, we will work together until we find one. I look forward to a great year!
